Skip Bayless is always a great catalyst of thought, whether it’s good or bad. Recently, I heard him suggest that Bonds primarily sits out of games which are being televised by ESPN. Bayless cited two reasons, the removal of Bonds on Bonds (TV show) and their inaccurate coverage of the baseball steroids issue.
A very interesting point, one that I think can be proven by looking at the games sat out vs. the ESPN baseball schedule. My time is far too valuable to do this, but I’d appreciate it if someone would look into it for me.
In all seriousness, I’d actually say that Bonds is winning his pseudo battle with ESPN. How amazing (and impossible) would it be if Bonds hit 755 and 756 devoid of any live ESPN coverage? Only time will tell.
