As we’re moving along in August and into September this baseball season, keep in mind that this is the time to bolster your lineups for the stretch run which is really the fantasy playoffs. We’re not at September call up time yet but still we’re beginning to see the game’s next greats begin their careers.

One of them is Justin Upton (OF) from the Arizona Diamondbacks. I’ve heard him compared to Junior Griffey and A-Rod. Needless to say, that’s good company to be in. Upton was the first overall pick in 2005 and it looks like he’s already paying dividends.

He’s only played a handful of games but he already generated a buzz around baseball. The D’Backs are in 1st place and the table is set for Upton to make a splash into our living rooms come October.

Do your fantasy squad a favor and pick this kid up. If you don’t believe me then watch him rake for the next few days and by the time you’re convinced then he’ll already be gone (if he isn’t already).
