Give Barry a job

I really don’t understand why Barry Bonds doesn’t have a team to play for right now. Does every AL team have a DH that will give them 30+ HRs, 80+ RBIs, and a great on-base percentage.

It just doesn’t make any sense. This man is the greatest hitter of our generation. His advancement in age has effected his ability to roam the outfield, but has had no effect on that flawless swing, quick hands, and great eye.

Steroids, schmeroids, alright so he may have used some questionable methods to reach his statistical plateaus, but so did so many other during the era. Plus how many former enhancement users will be on rosters come opening day, Giambi, Tejada, Pettite, to name a few. None of those men have numbers even close to Bonds’, yet because he had become the face of the Steroid era, he is still being black-balled. Those other talent-declining players will go along, play their 140 games, collect their paychecks and nothing will be said. Bonds on the other hand will have to sit at home and watch others play the game he loves at a much lower level than he could produce at.

Here’s my prediction, come July or August, when a contender has the pitching staff to make a run to the postseason but lacks the pop in their lineup, they will be calling Barry Lamar Bonds and asking for his services. He will show up, solidify the middle of their order and make and instant Series contender of the team.

Bonds Can Play Yeh. Bonds and steroids may be synonyms but so should be Bonds and baseball. He can hit the baseball very well and would be extremely valuable to have in the lineup.

You need knees to play baseball Barry Bonds has two dyfunctional knees. He’s old and grumpy and a cancer in the clubhouse that would only cause unwelcome drama to any AL team that wanted him. Could he still produce? Maybe, but not at the level we are used to. Time to hang ‘em up Barry.

Andyray hahahha. LOL. that made me laugh, thanks. So true. There are no cartilage left in those knees. He should rub some pine tar on them, it might help hold them together.
