Well Round 2 of the Penguins march to the Cup begins tomorrow. We will be welcoming Double J and his clowns to the Burgh.

It would have been nice to have Boston or Washington as opponents but you can’t be picky. We drew the Rangers, the second-hottest team in the playoffs, coming off of an impressive trumping of the Devils.

It’s going to be a great series. The teams have faced off 8 times already this season and the bad blood is brewing.

Sean Avery will no doubt be a pest, but Scary Gary Roberts will have something to say about that. And if not Gary, then Big Georges Laraque or Jarkko Ruutu will take care of that joke.

The USS Hal Gill will own JJ like he has for the past 20 years.

Some chucklehead from NewDay has called Crosby a diver, and has said that the Penguins don’t have the depth or skill to match up with the Rangers at even strength.

HAHAHAHA

This fool also continues by saying that the 1993 Rangers were a better team than the Pens and Adam Graves slash to Mario Lemieux’s wrist was unintentional.

OK, well in ’93 the Pens were coming off of back-to-back Cups, and by most accounts by Penguins players has the 1993 team as the best of the dynasty.

Lemieux, at the time the best player in the league, gets slashed breaks his hand, and that happens to be unintentional.

Right.

Check the tapes if you don’t believe me.

What editor would actually let words that are so foolish be printed in their publication.

This series, however, is evenly matched. Lundqvist is playing out of his mind. He’s the best goalie in the NHL right now. The Rangers spent billions in the offseason and this is the reason they got those guys, playoff hockey.

The Pens haven’t played since last Wednesday, but the Rangers are also well-rested. We will see who can get the rust off quickest.

Game 1 and 2 are at Mellon Arena. This is huge. If the Pens can get out to a 2-0 series lead, they can push the Rangers into a corner, and go for the kill.

Aside from Petr Sykora, who rents JJ’s condo in Pittsburgh, Gary, and Darryl Sydor, most of the young Pens are just that, young. They only have 2 playoff series under their belts and are relatively new to this phenomenon.

If Marc-Andre Fleury can keep pace with Lundqvist, then the Pens will take the series.

If it comes done to a defensive battle, with goals being scored on capitalized mistakes, then the Rangers have a good shot at advancing.

We will see.

This is playoff hockey.

My beard is solid.

Let’s go Pens!

little guy? If by little guy you mean that debacle of a soul patch on Double J’s face then yes, yes it will be crying all the way back.

Oh yeah, how long til your boy Sean Avery gets his head smashed in by Georges Laraque or Gary Roberts. I would love to see him anywhere near Fleury.
