In lieu of the recent trade involving Pau Gasol to the Lakers, I couldn’t help but think about who the Celtics need to increase their chances at a title. Then I see in the Denver Post, an article about the Nuggets pursuit for Sam Cassell.

Wow. What the hell are the Celtics doing? They obviously need a point guard and unless they have grand plans to get Kidd or Bibby, they better put some focus on bringing in Sam Cassell. Sure he’s old, but he has heart and experience playing with the Big Ticket.

Boston is going to shoot themselves in the foot if they can’t land any of those point guards. Despite having the best record, they no longer have the best squad in the league. That title now belongs to the Lakers with their new big man, Pau Gasol.
