Baltimore Orioles ace Erik Bedard has confirmed to SI.com that he has officially been traded to the Seattle Mariners in exchange for 22-year-old outfield prospect Adam Jones, reliever George Sherrill and minor league pitchers Chris Tillman, Kam Mickolio and Tony Butler.

good move by Mariners with Bedard and Felix Hernandez, they’ve got a good strong rotation core. They are at least 10-12 games better instantly than they were last year.
