Brian Westbrook's fantasy betrayal

Westbrook broke free for an apparent 25-yard touchdown run, but as he approached the end zone, he gradually slowed down and then fell to the ground, his feet touching the goal line but the ball nearly a yard short. The intent was clear: Allow the Eagles to keep the ball and kneel out the clock rather than crack open the window for the Cowboys to score, recover an onside kick and score again. The move guaranteed the win for the Eagles but cost fantasy players six points in standard leagues and more in leagues with touchdown-distance bonuses.

I’m pissed you cost me 6 points and possibly a spot in the final of one of my leagues, Westbrook!

That move saved me…. I think I would have lost one of my playoff games if he went for the TD. Here’s to Brian Westbrook for the heads up play and securing his team (and mine!) the win. =)

Hilarious I can imagine all Westbrook owners scream, “Why!??”

yep, it cost me I ended up losing in one league by about 5.5 points and would have won but for Westbrook’s decision to lay down on the field. Oh well, such is fantasy.
