Donnie Walsh doesn’t do five-year plans. But listen to the new Knicks president talk and it’s clear he’s plotting a two-plus year fix, one that puts them under the cap in 2010 and in the mix for a franchise-changing free agent crop that could include LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.

I’ll believe it when I see it… It seems like so many people have claimed they had the plan to fix the Knicks, especially the horrendous salary cap situation. But if Walsh can really turn them around, he’ll go down in history as an NBA miracle worker.
