Eric Gagne will get somewhat of a “mental break” as his struggles continue to close out games for the Milwaukee Brewers in the ninth inning.
Gagne, who signed a $10 million, one-year contract with the Brewers days before the Mitchell report on performance-enhancing drugs included his name, said after Milwaukee’s 5-3 loss on Saturday that he wanted to keep pushing through, but he didn’t deserve to close.
The Brewers will go with either Guerrillmo Mota or Salomon Torres as closers in the mean time.
What Waste of Money This bum got $10 million for one year and couldn’t even keep his job until the end of May. I think Gagne’s time is up.
