Giants keep Spagnuolo, make him highest-paid D-coordinator in league

New York Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, who interviewed for the Redskins’ head coaching job the past three days, has decided to stay in New York.

they should thank Jason Garrett the Cowboys set precedence with breaking the bank open for highly touted coordinators. who wouldn’t want to get paid a head coaches salary to be a defensive coordinator? -The Answer

what a job well done Spagnuolo did a wonderful job for the Giants, especially down the stretch this year. I agree. Same money, less pressure. Maks a whole lot of sense to me.

Spagnuolo Worth Every Penny…. ....I am so glad Spagnuolo didn’t sign with Washington. He was the heart and soul of our defensive philosophy and game plan this year. Without him, there would be no Superbowl.

When the Giants let John Fox go after Superbowl XXXV to Carolina it set our DEF back somewhat. Carolina on the other hand had one of the best defenses in the NFL for four years staight. Keeping Spagnuolo and signing him up is the best move the G-Man made and will make all year.
