true why no fanfare? 600 is an amazing achievement. And, as far as we know, Griffey is not the focus of any steroid investigation. Good for him. If only he stayed healthy earlier in his career, we’d be talking about him, not Bonds.
re: It’s sad how much Griffey Jr. has fallen off in the public eye since his injuries started in Cincy. He WAS major league baseball until he asked for the trade. Then he was plagued by injuries and became an afterthought.
He’s a great person too, I’ve heard from several different people that he is the friendliest and most down to earth baseball player they’ve talked to.
