With demographics of African Americans in baseball at the lowest it ‘s been in years, Ken Griffey Jr. blames the decline of African Americans in the MLB on the way Barry Bonds was treated.
Always liked Griffey’s attitude. Hard to dislike the guy.

That article was kind of depressing.
“When he joins the 600-home run club in the next month or so, there will be a Griffey renaissance, dreamers throwing out the hypothetical: What would baseball be like had he stayed healthy and had he been the one to break Hank Aaron’s record?
Griffey’s retort: “Who says I won’t?”
He’s kind to joke. It’s not nearly as sad that way.”
