Mike D’Antoni has accepted the New York Knicks’ lucrative job offer, ending a week-long battle with the Chicago Bulls, who also pursued the Phoenix Suns’ coach, a league source told SI.com.
it’s a baaaad situation in New York. If he was smart, he would’ve taken the Bulls job. he’s in a no-win situation win a merciless media to deal with. not smart by D’Antoni, IMO.

The Knicks will be worse under Mike D’Antoni. He can’t coach a team of under talented and lazy players like this. I don’t give him more than a year or two before he decides to quit on the organization.
The Knicks will still suck, but D’Antoni is an upgrade of Isiah so NY fans should be happy
Wow. Suddenly the Knicks GM/HC combo looks very, very good. D’Antoni was not a bad coach in any of his tenure in Phoenix. But if you force him to change his entire philosophy halfway through the season, he’s going to falter. Great signing by the Knicks.
By the way, the Bulls reportedly missed out on him because they were too cheap and let the Knicks outbid them. Good job Paxson.
