Brad Lidge threw one pitch, caught a spike on the mound, and felt a pull in his knee. His right knee. The knee he had surgically repaired for torn cartilage after last season with the Houston Astros.

i thought he was going to be the next best closer and then Pujols jacked that HR in the NLCS against him..it’s hard to think that one pitch at the pro level would have that type of lasting effect but clearly he’s never been the same ever since. -bB
