Outfielder Manny Ramirez’s stormy relationship with the Boston Red Sox appears to be over.
A baseball source has confirmed Ramirez has been traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers, ESPN.com has learned. Jason Bay is going to Boston as part of the deal. And the Pittsburgh Pirates get four minor leaguers as part of the three-way deal.
Third baseman Andy LaRoche and right-handed pitcher Bryan Morris will go to the Pirates from the Dodgers. Outfielder Brandon Moss and right-handed pitcher Craig Hansen will leave the Red Sox orgianization for Pittsburgh, ESPN.com has learned.
Wow This is Huge Pirates got screwed over big time here. Good riddance Manny!
wow I thought the Marlins were involved in the original deal. The Dodgers and the Red Sox are looking a lot better! What a tumultuous career, in some ways, I’m surprised he didn’t leave the Sox earlier.

re: Wow. Did he really HAVE to be traded to the Dodgers? Really?

sucks for Giants fans that they’ll have to see Manny in the division for a few years. it’ll be interesting to see him in the NL all together. Manny just bleeds AL in the way he plays/fields. big bat, can’t run, can’t field and can’t throw.

Boston Gave Up Way Too Much Looks as if they were so desperate to get rid of him they ended up trading two very good minor leaguers to Pittsburgh plus offered to pay the rest of his salary to the Dodgers.
What a deal.
