The Mavericks are on the verge of acquiring Jason Kidd from the Nets in a seven-player trade, according to reports.
The proposed deal, which was first reported by ESPN.com, would send Kidd and Malik Allen to Dallas for Devin Harris, Jerry Stackhouse, DeSagana Diop, Devean George, Maurice Ager and two future first-round draft picks. The Nets also would receive $3 millon.
i don’t like it I don’t like the idea of this trade at all. The Mavs are on the verge of being great without bringing in Kidd. If we trade all our depth for him and he doesn’t get us to the championship this year or next year, what will we do then?
Not a good idea. I hope we keep Harris. He will step it up eventually.
Steal for New Jersey Nets If that trade goes through as panned, the Nets get a steal in the deal with additions of Harris, Stackhouse and two first round draft picks. Jason Kidd has like two good years left in him at best.
Devin Harris is a star PG in the making and Stackhouse can straight ball. Plus two future early draft picks is way too much to let go for an aging All-Star.
Kidd doesn’t solve their problems Do the Mavericks really think that Kidd will be enough to win them a championship? Cuban, you should know better.
Nets in good shape this year and next a steal is right! If it goes through – still an uncertainty – the Nets have ended up with the better end of this deal for sure.
