Tendinitis in knee will sideline Bulls' Derrick Rose

One day after team officials expressed optimism he could play Thursday, the Bulls instead shut top pick Derrick Rose down for the remainder of summer league because of tendinitis in his right knee. The Bulls insist the condition isn’t serious, even though Rose will undergo an MRI. General manager John Paxson said Rose also would begin a leg-strengthening program upon his return to Chicago. “They say it keeps happening because I’m young and my legs aren’t strong enough,” Rose told reporters in Orlando
