Although preliminary discussions are underway for a boxing match between UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and boxing champion Roy Jones Jr., UFC president Dana White would not permit the fight
What a Main Event This would Be….. ....the article says Anderson Silva would need to obtain a boxing license though becasue they would box, not fight MMA style in a cage.
what’s the worst that could happen to Silva? he gets knocked out in a boxing match. big deal. It’s not like he won’t be able to fight MMA again. Dana White is a greedy narcissist and I can’t wait until society realizes that UFC is a segment of MMA (ahem ESPN) and not the other way around. Hopefully these big media deals behind Elite XC and Strikeforce will allow such to take place. -bB
I feel you. The UFC has become way to greedy. As if it wasn’t enough that the Fertita’s already own the Station Casino’s in Las Vegas. The bottom line is that they need to start paying all of their fighters more money and start sharing that wealth.

WTF? Dana White doesn’t share. I think it’s about time to do a blog post called “The Man that may Ruin MMA” by Freddie Footballer. Look for it.
