Zito, Righetti begin reclamation project

Barry Zito began his new job as a reliever Tuesday by doing exactly what he would have done as a starter. He threw a 10-minute, 70-pitch bullpen session that impressed pitching coach Dave Righetti.
Yea Zito will need a lot of work and considering his demeanor to do this and his old rigid habits he has for preparing to pitch, getting prepared randomly to come from the bullpen will be really hard for him.
I hope for Zito, Giants and their fans he can right the ship. Maybe Righetti isn’t good enough to bring him around. Anyone consider that? Get one of the best pitching coaches in there to help. Get him a monk and a therapist while they’re at it!
