Bust of the Year
In my mind, a true "bust" is a player who FOR NO APPARENT REASON, vastly underperforms expectations. Which would exclude Harrison (injury), L.J. (inj) and Steve Smith. Smith had 3 TD's in two games before Delhomme went down. Smith never had a QB though I can see him as a bust pick more than LJ or Harrison. My pick would be Cedric Benson. Avg. draft position of 12th player taken overall this year. Chance to be a workhorse back on a team coming offo fo a Super Bowl appearance - 674 - 3.4 ypc and 4 TD's. Awful.January 12, 2008 - 9:49pm

Sleeper of the Year
I like the Moss pick. Tough to mess with getting THE best WR drafted as your #2. I also think Adrian Peterson deserves consideration. We knew he was good, but anyone that says they knew he'd be this good THIS fast is either lying or a diehard Vikes fan.January 13, 2008 - 11:15pm

Busts due to injury
You make a good point there for Benson for being the biggest bust if you exclude players that got hurt. However I think that a bust is still a bust. Players get hurt, have problems on and off the field, hold out, are on the cover of Madden, etc. In the case of Harrison, his injury and weak fantasy season is in large part due to his age. It was bound to happen. In the case of L.J., perhaps his holdout situation and degrading O-line was a bad omen to his fantasy season.January 13, 2008 - 11:15pm

Moss as sleeper of the year
On second thought, I'll agree with you guys and say that Moss is the sleeper of the year.Reply

Moss
I think Randy Moss is the sleeper of the year. He went as late as the 5th or 6th round but he was the best WR in all the land, period. 20+ TDs! I think Grant and Graham were definitely among the top pickups of the year. But you have to consider Jamal Lewis and his 1,304 rush yards and 9 TDs. He was a stud for a middle round pick! - Freddie Footballer
