Are the Warriors going to fall far with the injury to Monta Ellis?
It seems as though Monta Ellis will be out for at least the first month of the upcoming season. By that time, will the Warriors fall far enough to be out of playoff contention? Last yr they lost the first six games without Stephen Jackson but still had a chance to make playoffs. The west has gotten stronger with emerging young teams (Lakers, Hornets, Blazers, Utah) but some teams (Denver, Phoenix, Dallas) will not be as good. Are guards Marcus Williams and Corey Maggette enough to carry the load on offense and still get everybody involved?

Yes, they need Monte to
Yes, they need Monte to stand a fighting chance....unless of course Anthony Randolph turns out to be a gem.September 10, 2008 - 11:44pm

They’re good, but it’s
They're good, but it's simply too soon to tell how they will play without their best player. It doesn't help that Nelson has such a disdain for consistent defense.September 12, 2008 - 2:05pm

I’m more interested in
I'm more interested in finding out what knuckleheaded activity Ellis was doing when the "accident" occurred. I know I shouldn't care and move forward like Bill Belichick does but it's tough to let go. As for the Ws, I can't see them finishing better than 12th in the West given the competition. Sad but true.
