Championship game live blog
Just put your thoughts down as they come… This should be a fantastic game. The germans really rebounded from a disappointing group stage while the Spaniards have been dominant throughout. Game starts at 245 ET. Ole!

Back... for a bit.
My cable is down at home, so i've changed locations. First thoughts Pretty uneven game in that there isn't a consistent back and forth aspect. Each team is taking long periods of team controlling the ball. The Spaniards are playing very even in attack and have gotten the best chances by far. Torres's touch was remarkable. I almost turned away when he played the ball forward to himself because Lahm had such good position. His speed is remarkable and the hit was perfect. Worhty highlight for the tournament. Schweinsteiger is unimpressive. To make matters worse, this winger isn't getting anyone in the middle to dump the ball to. spain's defense is more numbers than precision, but it's worked so far. I don't think we'll see vastly different styles of play unless one team is leading with ten to go. Look for Spain to keep attacking. They're just too good. Fabregas will get involved on the assist side. Xavi will get looks. I see German offense as a set play affair as they just don't look cabable of outrunning the spaniards. It's on now. Let's see.June 29, 2008 - 12:55pm

All attack
The Spaniards are just bringing it downfield with no regard for their lead. Excellent stuff.June 30, 2008 - 9:19am

great win by Spaniards
they attacked, they held possession, they carved up the Germans with their deft passes. Nice stuff. 44 years, there must have been some party in Spain last night!- Freddie Footballer

Great composure by Torres on that goal.
