Cleveland Cavaliers? Not making any moves...
What’s up with the Cavaliers? How come they aren’t trying to make any moves to help out Lebron? How come Lebron isn’t speaking out? Is Lebron James going to be the Charles Barkley of his generation?

everybody is moving ahead of them
the East is growing increasingly competitive and the Cavs are looking up at the Celtics now. If they want to take the next step, they'll have to make some moves.- Freddie Footballer

Danny Ferry is really a
Danny Ferry is really a terrible GM. In all the years that they've had LeBron he hasn't made a significant improvement to the team. He won't have anyone else to blame when LeBron bolts for the Brooklyn Nets. I almost feel bad for him now.July 17, 2008 - 7:09pm

true story
yes, finally, some people who agree with me that Danny Ferry is incapable of making front office decisions. having said that, however, there is a rumor going around that the Cavs are shopping for Ron Artest's contract by dangling wally sczerbiak. they would have to take on kenny thomas's 2-year goliath contract, but both artest and thomas come off the books by 2010 when they need to re-sign LeBron. and it is also possible that artest pans out for cleveland, since he fits with their defensive style. the real problem for cleveland lies with their coach, because he has players that can score the basketball (gibson, sczerbiak, pavlovich, ilgauskis, smith and west), but most of the time they play like the lakers did the first few years after shaq left, just standing around watching lebron try to go 1-on-5. lebron is good enough to make that work half the time, but it stagnates the offense because the other guys can't get into a rhythm and they don't gain confidence. i never liked that ferry got rid of paul silas so quickly.July 18, 2008 - 1:55am
