COT at Daytona for the first time
Daytona is going to be wildly different this year. If I’m not mistaken, there were no Car Of Tomorrow restrictor plate races last year and obviously that’s changed this year with every race featuring the COT.
Racing insiders, what should we expect to see because of this? Given the aerodynamics I would think that it’ll be more of and old-school race since the new cars are boxier. Also, in the video games the side draft is tough to deal with i the new cars. It makes me think there’s going to be plenty of drivers flying into the wall.

not really, they're less aerodynamic
but it promotes more traditional stock car racing, I guess. since the front/back of the new cars are very square it makes it easy to get close and draft one another. -bBFebruary 6, 2008 - 11:16pm
