Eastern Medicine
Will the power of traditional Chinese medicine heal Yao or will herbal tea, acupuncture and Yin-yang side line him this August?

he wants to represent his country
there is tremendous pressure put on athletes by the chinese olympic committee. I don't blame him for feeling obligated to his country and committee to get ready to play for China. Plus, he's their star player. The US has plenty of depth they can rely on.- Freddie Footballer

Yao will be fine
I think he could have played through the end of the year with Houston if he wanted to but then he'd have off season surgery which would make him miss the Olympics. I know I'm insinuating a lot but I think Yao has his priorities backwards. international soccer is one thing but basketball...give me a break! -bB
