How many starts are we looking at here? Is he worth a fantasy draft pick?

He's still young enough (26 yrs) to overcome all his ailments and still has an amazing K/9 rate. If he can keep those walks under control, he can still give you numbers like an ace. I'd say he's got upside of 150 IP, but I wouldn't pay for those 150 IP. He's definitely worth a pick, but don't even consider him before round 15 of a 10 team draft (i.e. 150th player rostered). Seems his ADP is around 200, but with each good start in spring training, his value is sure to creep up so you might not be able to wait until the 200th pick. sportsnut

This is the NBA thread, but if a stray question about other sports shows up here, I'll answer it! Stack if you need pts and FT% (and can sustain the low FG%). Wells if you need REB (from guard slot) and STL (but his production will be inconsistent since Mo Pete is still around). sportsnut

I don't see Dirk coming back anytime soon. Stack can get three or steals plus give you 18-25 points a night.

jermaine o'neal alert

two papers report he may play a few minutes tonight. if you have dead weight on your bench, can wait a week for o'neal to get up to 20min/g (possibly up to 30min/g for the last 5 games or so) and need reb and blocks -- go get him now!
