GSP vs. Serra
The GSP vs. Serra fight was a great display of what a technician GSP is. GSP tagged Serra with jabs, and then immediately solidified solid takedowns. GSP’s stamina was through the roof. He simply just wore the much stockier, Matt Serra out. What was also interesting about this fight was the bone structure and muscle build of both fighters. GSP looked in amazing shape. He definitely has one of the most amazing builds among all athletes. GSP just went to work on Serra’s rib cage. He was firing knees from all angles, elbows to the top of the head and midsection. He walked right through Serra’s guard so easily. And the flexibility and the dexterity of his limbs was near the caliber of Anderson Silva. I do think Silva vs. GSP would make for a good fight. I still would have Silva winning by knockout third round. Both fighters should meet dead even at 177.5 pounds. That would be a sick fight.

White won't let it happen. Surprise me, Dana! But yes, GSP's game plan of wearing down Serra worked. He took him down immediately and was forcing him to defend against everything - shots to the head, the body, keeping GSP away, etc. It wore Serra out and he couldn't hit GSP with anything solid. I don't think it was the only gameplan that GSP could have used - he could've kept the fight standing and I think he still would've won. But good for GSP and he's shown he's one of the best fighters on the planet. Onwards and upwards, George!- Freddie Footballer
