James Blake in a 5 setter with Donald Young
I’m lucky to have tuned to USA to find an instant classic from this year’s US Open. Donald Young is pushing James Blake to the brink. Hopefully Young pulls this out as I’d like to watch this kid in later rounds. Anyone else catch(ing) this?

whats with the post match
whats with the post match interview with Blake? That guy was a jackass. Talking about how Blake has struggled, not good in 5 setters, etc. Sure he shouldn't have gone the distance with this kid but the competition is tough and the USA reporter should be a little more positive I think.August 26, 2008 - 4:10pm

pretty entertaining battle, but experience and endurance proved to be the biggest factor at the end. props to Young for a valiant effort though.Reply

I saw the end of the final
I saw the end of the final set after work. Glad Blake pulled it out, but Young should be a good player in the future after dominating the youth circuit. I remember last year he was in both the youth and pro US Open and got far in both. He got a bad draw with Blake the first round, unfortunately.
