The Mayorga Vargas fight

There were a lot of sports on this past weekend and one of the notable events was the Friday night PPV fight between Ricardo Mayorga and Fernando Vargas. Once again, I was glad to see the fight not in Vegas because there are very few real fight fans there. The fight was at Staples Center in LA and the crowd was in full effect.

You had to know this would be a great fight for the fans. Both fighters are known for slugfests and this one did not disappoint. Lots of flying fists, trash talkin, low blows, hitting after the bell, etc.

The only thing wrong with the fight was the decision. Mayorga won but it should have been a unanimous as opposed to a majority decision.
