USC shouldn't have lost the 1 seed
What gives? It isn’t as if they lost the game. LS-ewww couldn’t even cover the line against Tulane so what justifies them vaulting into the top spot? Granted it’s only a couple points and will not matter when the BCS rankings come out but it’s still disappointing. It goes to shows that East coast bias still exists in the associated press and that the Pac-10 doesn’t get the credit it deserves.

I agree
on the east coast/ESPN bias. It's there for sure. I saw somewhere that it's been a very long time since a team lost it's number one ranking after a win. It will be interesting to see if LSU gets a narrow victory and USC gets a blowout if the treatment would be the same. Being a Cal fan, though, I certainly can't complain about our gaudy number #3 ranking. Woohoo!
