Was Rampage robbed?

I’m not sure how the judges gave Griffin the fight. It makes no sense to me. Aside from those handful of leg kicks, he didn’t do anything to hurt Rampage. It’s laughable how much UFC plugs Griffin, I thought I was watching wrestling.

When Griffin gets smacked in the face: “Oh my look a the toughness of Griffin”

When Griffin taps Rampage off balance with: “Unbelievable leg kicks from Forrest!”

When Griffin’s head is split open: “The important thing right now is that Griffin is winning the fight!”

Funny enough, UFC didn’t replay any of Rampage’s power punches that landed and even Forrest himself admitted that there were a lot of them.

Ultimately, I’m not sure where to go with this one. I’m not a Griffin fan but I’m trying to be objective about this. What do you all think?

don't know about a fix

it was definitely a controversial fight. I think the third round was won by Quinton and I don't know about giving Forrest 10-8 in round two, although he clearly won that round. Looks like Wanderlei or Machida will get the next crack at Griffin. Jardine, Henderson (the latter would be a great fight) should also be good fights.

conspiracy theorists

if you're a conspiracy theorist, apparently Dana White saw Rampage wearing an Affliction t-shirt last week. Can't have Rampage wearing a shirt from your sworn enemy and allow him to win!

i dunno how they were so

i dunno how they were so biased in scoring the fight...I can't help but put it in the context of Tim donaghy situation especially with the odds against Griffin being +235 or something..

Like it or leave it! But Griffin won the fight...

there's plenty of conspiracy theories out there but Griffin clearly won the fight. Griffin won rounds 2, 3 , and 5. Round 2 was dominating round for griffin. He hurt him with leg kick that is as punishing as any power punch. Then took him down and punished rampage for over 3+ mins on the ground. Griffin fought a great fight. It distrubes me when Rampage wasn't too dissappointed with the loss. He was even looking forward to having a party and celebrating his bday! Well no matter what, you know $$$$ makes the world go round and round!!!!!

fixed or not

there are enough fans who did not like the decision or the way the points were tabulated who will now sit out (at least paying for) the next Griffin-Rampage fight. Rampage lost heart during and after this fight and you have to wonder (just like the heavyweight division in UFC) who will make the fights exciting again. Chuck Liddell? Ha, washed up. Same with Wanderlei. Machida is not an exciting fighter. No wonder White is considering having Anderson Silva fight as a light heavy. UFC is going down! If Zuffa, e.g. WEC and UFC did not have their lightweight classes (BJ Penn, Florian, Roger Huerta, Miguel torres, and Faber) they would suck. That's why White's move to try to take out Affliction is a move in desperation more than anything. YOU'RE RUNNING OUT OF QUALITY FIGHTS AND FIGHTERS, DANA!
