Weekly Pickup - Max Scherzer
Picked him up in my league yesterday off waivers and there are only two things you need to know. He’s a highly touted prospect that strikes out batters more often than Eddy Curry eats McDonalds, and in his only major league action he pitched 4 innings in relief…recording 7 strikeouts.
Johnny Cueto was the early season hyped pitcher, but he’s fizzled out and shown his true form. Think of Scherzer as the Liriano of 2 years ago. Pick him up in all formats because his first start is Monday.

Scherzer to Start Tonight
This will definitely be exciting. Him and Volquez look to be stud rookie pitchers this year.
