Where Would You Rate Jets' RB Thomas Jones This Year?
In my view, Thomas Jones is one of the more undervalued fantasy running backs in recent years. And he’s consistent. He rushed for 1,205 yards last year and in 2006, had a very nice rushing total of 1,335. I counted him out last year when the Bears drafted Cedric Benson and Jones more than proved me wrong. This past offseason, he’s moved on to the Jets, where he is the undisputed #1 and running behind a good line.
Where do you rate him? Would you roll with him as your #2 RB?

Not so high
I have him rated outside the top 15, but definitely a top 20 back this year. I'd be stoked to get him as my #2 RB.August 3, 2007 - 11:45pm

I agree with Duc.
Thomas Jones, when it's all said and done will be a top 10 RB. He's durable, he's consistent, and now he gets his chance. If Leon Washington, Barlow, and Houston were able to be productive, Jones is not that far away from a 1,500 yard, 10 TD season.August 12, 2007 - 7:07pm

er, Jones reportedly hurt
maybe not as durable as we may have thought. This is one to watch: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/2007-08-12-3184776028_x.htm "New York Jets running back Thomas Jones limped off the practice field after injuring his lower right leg Sunday. There was no immediate word on the nature or severity of the injury, but it appeared to be either to his ankle or calf. Jones wasn't made available to the media, and coach Eric Mangini had already addressed the media before practice."Reply

Thomas Jones is a monster.
Thomas Jones is a monster. He is going to have a huge year for the Jets this upcoming season. He can easily be a #1 RB in a large league.
