Who are your top-10 picks in next year's fantasy football draft?

Let’s propose scoring system of the following:

QB: 30 yards = 1 pt, pass TD = 4 points
Rushing/Receiving: 10 yards =1 point, TD = 6 points
No points for receptions

Here is my top 10 right now:

1. LaDainian Tomlinson – still consistent, still the Man.
2. Joseph Addai – great offense, and he showed me a lot. I’m still a little concerned about him as an injury risk.
3. Adrian Peterson – the future is here. I might move him to #2 if Chester Taylor gets moved and they bring in a REAL QB. Sorry Tarvaris!
4. Brian Westbrook – If you get points for receptions, I’d move him up a slot. He’s just so consistent and he’s a threat in both the rushing and pass games.
5. Ronnie Brown – obviously he’s a risk because of his injury, but presuming he’s back and healthy, I’d take him this early. He looked tremendous after he got untracked earlier in the season.
6. Marion Barber – he made Julius Jones an afterthought and established himself in ’07 as one of the league’s best. A TD machine.
7. Marshawn Lynch – he was very impressive the way he ran hard all year long. He was pretty durable too. This team can only get better in ’08.
8. Willis McGahee – I really like what I saw out of him this year in his first season in Baltimore. Should only be better next year.
9. Willie Parker – also very consistent, but 2 TDs? He’s also an injury risk and one to watch as he recovers in the offseason.
10. Frank Gore – he’s still very good, but he was exposed this year a bit. If he gets better QB play and the Niners improve the O-line, maybe we’ll see the Gore of ’05.

Comments on other players:
Tom Brady – if you know me, you know I don’t draft QBs in the first round usually. He’ll go in the first or second round of most drafts next year, for sure.
Jamal Lewis – he might go in the second round next year.
Clinton Portis – early second rounder, for sure.
Randy Moss – early second round choice, maybe higher if a PPR league.

What does your list look like? Please share here!

No WRs?

usually I'm sheepish on WRs in the first round but one guy I'm definitely targeting next year is Reggie Wayne. Marvin Harrison is in the twilight of his career and Manning always looks to Wayne in the end zone. -bB

Brady?

You have to put Brady in there after the year he had. There's no reason why the production will stop in '08. Brady for prez!

Wayne

I have to give it to Wayne: he's been very consistent (about 95 yards per game average and 10 TDs) but unless you're giving me a point per reception, he will not be on my top 10. He'll probably go around 13th or 14th of most drafts next year I would suspect in non-PPR leagues. - Freddie Footballer

Steven Jackson and Larry Johnson

If any of you are wondering about these two guys, yep, I intentionally omitted them out of the top 10. I'm not feeling these guys right now and would only take them if the value was right. Both will surely be taken in the first round of a 12 team league, but they will have to show me something to get my pick, especially in the first 6 or so spots. - Freddie Footballer

Steven Jackson?

SJax should still be a top 5 pick.

Mike

on what basis should S-Jax be taken in the first round? He's a good runner but he's in a bad situation in STL. There are too many questions for me. He got injured, so he's shown he's injury-prone. Lots of questions with that O-line. If that situation gets resolved I'd be inclined to move him into my top 10 but there's more here than that. I'm afraid he's not as good as we thought after 2006. - Freddie Footballer

Sjax

Jackson was able to come back strong after a 40% groin tear, an incredible feat in my eyes. He's finishing the season strong and showing that he can still be very productive even with a crappy O-Line. But you're right, there are some questions here and there, but I think the Rams will try to address all of them.

Sjax?

Sjax should be a top 10 pick in all drafts. Top 5 is pushing it though...

SJax has to show me something

I'm not convinced he can do it on his own without improvements in the offense and O-line for next year. I'd happily move him into my top-10 if I see otherwise, but not yet. - Freddie Footballer
