Why doesn't Dirk shoot more 3s?
Sure this post has fantasy undertones but I think that Dirk’s lack of 3 pt attempts is actually hurting his real team too. He won the 3 point contest not too long ago and yet Avery the General is steadfast in trying to make this team Spurs Part Deux. It’s not working Avery, so stop trying to make Dirk into Tim Duncan.
Sure Nowitzki is balling regardless of what Avery wants him to do on offense but that’s testament to Dirk and his game, not Avery and his coaching philosophy. I’m not a basketball genius but I think you’re best served in using all your talents as a basketball player. I can’t help but think that Dallas would be better off if they ran more 3 point plays for Dirk during the course of the game?

Dirk definitely needs to take more 3s. I think there is a strong correlation between Dirk 's lack of D and his lack of 3's. He just needs to play with more heart and fire, period. His three is so nasty he can do a post up, fade-away three in anyones face. If he's going to pass up on the 3s, he should at least average around 5 dimes a game.
