Why the need for FireBenBraun dot com?

There I sat with my buddy Trojan Warrior in the 62nd row at Memorial Stadium watching USC beat Cal 24-17 last Saturday. I know this isn’t the right forum to discuss college football so I’m not going to.

The point of interest was the guy sitting next to us. During timeouts he would chant “Fire Ben Braun,” the Cal basketball coach. Then he proceeded to whip out some t-shirts and began selling them to those who shared his plight. That’s a true fan and I couldn’t help but write about it.

I’m not going to lie and say I follow Cal basketball very much but I always thought Ben Braun was a reputable coach with a proven track record and ability to recruit. Granted Cal hasn’t been back to the Todd Bozeman glory days (err Jason Kidd) but is it really time for Ben Braun to get the axe?
