Many fantasy experts argue every year as to which round is considered appropriate to draft an ace pitcher such as a Johan Santana, Brandon Webb or a Josh Beckett for their respected team. Is the first or second round too high? What about rounds 3-5?

First Round....I want that gauranteed anchor right away

Third Round

Fourth Round.....need to stock up on offense first

Personally For a Jake Peavy or a Johan Santana I could take them come third round if they are still around but everyone else would take a back seat till about round six or lower.

pitching is definitely a dime a dozen there’s plenty of randoms throughout the year than end up as 2nd tier pitchers. Fausto Carmona (last year) comes to mind. -bB
