Not that it doesn’t take hard work and talent, it does. But every time I think it’s one or the other, something makes me reevaluate.

im not saying the golfers are the strongest fastest athletes but it does take athletic ability. it takes strength and coordination and skill. it is similar to baseball and tennis as physical ability is involved in how one hits a ball. golf is still way way more of a sport than 90 percent of the events in the olympics that are considered sports. just because old people play it does not mean its not a sport- because 99.9% of old people cannot play it. just because it is boring to watch does not mean it is not a sport. i rather watch a u.s. open with tiger any day over a rowing match, pingpong match, a college baseball game, or horse race.

Good points
I refer to golf Good points

I refer to golf as a cool highlight sport, but not something I could watch all day. It is, like you say, a thousand times more interesting than beach volleyball or eight man skull. Once every four years is enough.
