Undoubtedly, McClaren is facing the sack. Should the 3 Lions not proceed to the Euro 2008 tourney (let’s hope so), who will most likely fill the coveted shoes of England Head Coach?

homegrown If I’m not mistaken, Allardyce was the runner up in the process last time before it was given to McLaren.

sticking with the English? Agreed, now there’s talks about Martin O’Neill (Aston Villa). After Sven bounced, the public wanted an English manager to manage the English team. I think this plan backfired with McClaren. Now how far down the line does England have to lose with different English managers to realize that sometimes you have to be more out-of-the-box?
