Should replay be permitted in situations involving the clock?

Poll submitted by Sportsmeels, 4 months ago

During the Pistons/ Magic game 2, an issue arose from the arena clock malfunctioning, and correspondingly, the officials being forced to make a call (on whether Chauncey Billups had enough time to make the game-affecting 3 pointer) based on their own “internal clocks”, as replay is not permitted in such situations currently. In going through the film after the fact, it was evident that the call was made incorrectly.

re: In the same way those red lights were implemented for more certainty on shot clock related plays, things like this should deserve an extra look for more certainty.

if they can retroactively finish games as evidenced when they inadvertently fouled Shaq out when he was on the Heat, then they can fix an issue like this. playoff basketball should not be left to the officials! -bB
