Which team got the better end of the Erik Bedard trade?

The Orioles traded Erik Bedard to the Mariners for five prospects. Baltimore received outfielder Adam Jones, reliever George Sherrill and pitchers Chris Tillman, Tony Butler and Kam Mickolio.

Bedard is a great pitcher, with an incredible strikeout ratio (221 in 182 innings!!!!) No doubt he’ll enhance the rotation and provide some power at the top, but I’m not sure it will be enough to breathe life into this team. Its too bad, because Bedard is definately a gamer…I would love to see what he could do on a good team.

Orioles will never win anything in the AL East talk about getting screwed. throw the Blue Jays in there too. these teams will never be able to compete with NYY and BOS. -bB

Seattle Has a Tremedous 1-5 Pitching Rotation ….let’s not forget they have Batista and Jarrod Washburn in that rotation as #3 and #4 pitchers as well. If King Felix can stay healthy expect this team to win the wildcard spot in the American League this year.
