It seems the consensus is LT then AP, 1-2. Then it’s up for grabs. I’ve seen some people take Steven Jackson, but his value has taken a little bit of a hit due to contract issues. Brian Westbrook is there, is as Joseph Addai. Tom Brady also might be worth taking that early. Who do you take?
Westbrook for me too Steven Jackson might have been here, but this contract dispute is ugly. Remember what happened to Larry Johnson after his holdout? Not going there.
Really low on Frank Gore this year. I am not sure he’ll be successful even with Mike Martz making him the focus unless the entire SF offense improves. Heard a lot about 2 TE sets for them. I just don’t want to take that risk. Even if he does produce, he is still an injury concern for me. Besides, looks like you can get him late first or even second in some mock drafts.
Too early for Tom Brady. Even if he does end up being the No.1 QB, he’s not worth the third pick price.
That leaves Westbrook or Addai. Rhodes is back in Indy, and he will probably take a few carries from Addai to keep him fresh throughout the season, and a lot of Addai’s worth is based on his TDs.
That means I’ll take Westbrook. He is the focus of the Eagles offense and has only missed one game the past 2 seasons. Solid choice for this season and bound to have a big year for the Eagles. They’ll need him to win games in a tough conference.
Westbrook – me three! S-Jax and the situation generally in St. Louis is scaring me off right now. I think Jackson is being drafted after Addai in most drafts, in the 5th hole.
Frank Gore If I do not get LTD or AP i am going with my main man Frank Gore. Expect a year for him like 2 years ago.
Westbrook Frank Gore? Without a passing game, Gore is going to get pounded and eventually hurt. I’d go with Brian Westbrook with the #3 pick.
