the hop isn’t even cool it’s obvious that Al is trying to follow in the footsteps of the great Rickey Henderson. Rickey did all sorts of wacky stuff while catching the ball and he too wasn’t the greatest defensive player. however, I must say that Soriano’s hop doesn’t even look good. if you’re going to throw a useless antic in there might as well make it something cool like Eric Byrnes doing a front flip after he throws the ball. -bB
